BIOGRAPHY:
Formed in 2003 and hailing from the thriving hardcore/metal
scene that is Richmond, Virginia, SKYLINES have been
doing their very best to provide their own unique and
heartfelt form of metallic hardcore to the underground
music scene. With a wide range of influences, from
within hardcore as well as beyond, SKYLINES continually
strive to write and release music that represents each
individual member, expresses a unique interpretation
of the events around them, and appeals to enthusiasts
of heavy music.
The band's debut release, a split on Blood & Ink
Records with California's STARS ARE FALLING, received
much critical acclaim and helped SKYLINES build a
fanbase worldwide. Subsequently, SKYLINES have toured
regularly throughout the U.S., including an appearance
at the Cornerstone Festival 2005 in Illinois and
most recently a coast-to-coast tour alongside labelmates
TEN 33 during Winter 2005.
On their potent first full length, Identity, SKYLINES demonstrate just how much growth they've experienced
both musically and personally since their earlier
recordings. Recorded at Planet Red Studios (SCARLET,
WINTER SOLSTICE, BLACK DAHLIA MURDER), Identity packs
a harsh musical punch and lyrical potency few albums
in recent years could match. Without a doubt, SKYLINES have created something special, sure to garner respect
of critics and fans alike.
