BIOGRAPHY:
In February of 2002, a group of guys from Richmond,
Virginia had an idea to start a project encompassing
various sounds, working from diverse influences.
Originally called WHENEVER YOU'RE READY and then
THE EMERGENCY, this five-piece band worked to blend
the likeable aspects of youth crew hardcore, emotional
rock n' roll, and metal, all the while annexing
a distinctive melodic twist to the mix. After realizing
they needed to change their name one final time,
the band took on the police code for "emergency" and
became TEN 33.
As a band, TEN
33 hold dear the notion that their collective
thoughts and ideas are essential to producing relevant,
heartfelt, and meaningful music and lyrics, with
each member contributing to the process of writing.
Since their first show in early August of 2002
this group ethic has helped excel the band along
their path. The band entered the studio soon after
making their public debut, recording their five
song demo, Panic In The Streets. Since then, TEN
33 has played shows regularly, toured the
East Coast several times, recorded yet another
demo, Walk The Plank, and constantly built a devoted
fanbase throughout the U.S. In March of 2004, TEN
33 entered local studio Full Lumbar Support
to record their debut full length, Emergency!
Emergency! With Ian Whalen (LAMB OF GOD,
BATS & MICE) at the helm, the band's Blood & Ink
Records debut definitely upped the band's already
incredible sound.
On the heels of both fan and critical acclaim for Emergency!
Emergency!, TEN
33 again began working on a full length,
entering the studio in April 2005 to begin work
on the release. This time recording at Planet Red
Studios (WINTER SOLSTICE, DOWN TO NOTHING, SCARLET,
BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) in Richmond, VA, TEN
33's sophomore effort, entitled Nightmare
On Grace Street, marks a new level for the
band. All those lucky enough to have heard the
album already have had nothing but glowing comments
and, by all accounts, this is TEN
33's best material to date. With a heavy
Summer 2005 tour schedule planned, as well as making
an appearance at Cornerstone 2005 in Illinois, TEN
33 are armed with an incredible album and
ready to show both new and old fans alike that
this band can't be ignored. |
