The legacy of Strongarm is unquestionable.  Alongside fellow South Floridians and friends Shai Hulud, Strongarm forged an entirely new take on hardcore, combining the genre’s power with more technical and melodic elements unlike any had done before.  What would follow is a long line of great music, all with direct roots in this incredible band.  The list of bands citing Strongarm as an influence goes on and on: Life In Your Way, Saints Never Surrender, Means, It Prevails, Dependency, and many more.  Not only did Strongarm have a major impact on the Spirit-filled scene, but hardcore in general felt their awesome reach.

Divide The Sea has announced finalized tour dates for July, taking to the road alongside Victory Records’ Corpus Christi.  A complete list of dates can be found on the B&I Tours page.  The tour will see the bands venturing from Missouri to Florida, hitting many favorite spots in between.

DEPENDENCY’s Convicted sees the band expanding upon their acclaimed demo, pushing their music further both sonically and lyrically.  Recorded with Drew Fulk, co-produced by Fulk and Joe Musten (of Advent/Beloved), and mixed/mastered by Jay Maas (of Defeater and engineer for Verse, Have Heart), Convicted’s impeccable recording quality captures the band’s powerful emotional range regularly exhibited during their live shows.  Reminiscent of Life In Your Way, Strongarm, and Blood & Ink alums Saints Never Surrender, DEPENDENCY are poised to pick up the torch as reigning kings of melodic Spirit-filled hardcore.

Signed to Blood & Ink while still a project with an incomplete line-up, Revelation Through Tribulation serves as perfect evidence as to why we knew THIN ICE had to be a part of our family even then.  Essentially a glorified demo, the songs that make up this debut EP barely scratch the surface of what these Texans have to offer.  Coupling driving, gut-wrenching bass lines and devastating guitar riffs with powerful, yet heartfelt vocals, THIN ICE clearly have a knack for intense hardcore.  Already drawing comparisons to the likes of Figure Four, Buried Alive, and Advent, this quintet is on the cusp of greatness.

The iTunes and Blood & Ink Records versions of both releases include four page digital booklets, complete with lyrics and credits.

DIVIDE THE SEA have posted the video for “In Knowing, Triumph” on their MySpace (and it’s also available via the Blood & Ink YouTube Channel).  The video was directed by Michael Dalton (A DAY TO REMEMBER, ONWARD TO OLYMPAS) and shot earlier this year near the band’s hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. The song is off the band’s latest album, Man, which is available in stores and online now!  You can download it online at iTunes or the Blood & Ink MP3 Store.

We are extremely excited to announce the newest addition to the Blood & Ink Family: Tennessee’s DEPENDENCY!

While still quite young, in just under a year these guys have already started to stir up much of the Southeast, leaving a wake of talk about their awesome songwriting and great live shows everywhere they venture.  Don’t sleep on this…

Blood & Ink will be releasing their debut EP, Convicted, on May 25th via all major digital outlets and will be handling distribution on the CD release as well.  Recorded with Drew Fulk (Advent, Kingdom) and mixed by Jay Maas (Defeater, Verse, Shipwreck), this will surely prove to be one of the most notable debuts to be released by the label.
